In a nutshell: Drinkaware has launched an area of its website to help parents tackle youth drinking. 63% of young people who drink alcohol admit they do it most frequently in their own home according to research of 16-17 year olds. As a result, Drinkaware has launched a brand new section of their website targeted specifically at parents.   The site also offers advice and tips to encourage parents to broach the subject with their children. Drinkaware is also encouraging parents to monitor their own behaviour in order to help them show a good example to their children

Drinkaware launches dedicated website area for professionals to tackle youth drinking

In a nutshell: Drinkaware has launched a new section of its website dedicated to offering alcohol advice to professionals who work with young people.  This has been developed based on feedback from professionals working with young people including youth workers and teachers. Research has shown that 82% of professionals are concerned about the level of drinking among young people and 84% have stressed the importance of tacking this issue.
